COMPANIONS EVENT #1 - Wednesday, May 27 2015     

 Tour of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building and visit to Henry’s Café and Art Gallery

then Afternoon Tea

To start your Regina experience, we would like to take you on a historical tour of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building. On this tour you will learn about this landmark located on the shores of Regina’s Wascana Lake and in the heart of the Wascana Park.

After the tour, we will visit Henry’s in downtown Regina. It’s a café, boutique and art gallery all in one and it was established by a famous Saskatchewan artist and author Henry Ripplinger. After enjoying some delectable desserts with coffee or tea, you are invited to explore the Henry’s gift shop, clothing boutique and art gallery. 

Cost of this event is $18.00 plus taxes. The price includes the dessert and tea/coffee at Henry’s, gratuity and taxi fare. This tour leaves from the conference hotel, The Delta Hotel, at 2:00pm and returns approimately 5:00pm. Please click HERE to register and reserve your place for this event.  

*If you happen arrive in Regina in the morning, you can take a visit to Regina’s outdoor Farmers Market located next to Victoria Park in the downtown district. The market highlights various Saskatchewan producers selling products ranging from fresh fruit and vegetables, baking, clothing and jewelry


COMPANIONS EVENT #2 - Thrusday, May 28, 2015Moose Jaw – A distinctive city with distinctive name, originating from the Cree word “Moosegaw”, meaning “Warm Breezes”.  We will take a short 40 minute drive to Moose Jaw, where will learn about the city’s history and development by experiencing the sights and sounds of this prairie city’s rich heritage.

Your Moose Jaw experience begins in the famous underground Tunnels of Moose Jaw with the tour on the Passage to Fortune. You will learn about the early history of Chinese immigrants in Canada by observing first hand their living conditions as well as their personal successes. This tour is 50 minutes long and has one short flight of stairs which is equipped with a lift and is on one level for easy access.

We will end our visit to Moose Jaw with the visit to Yvette Moore Galley home of the exclusive art collection of Canadian renowned and awarded artist, Yvette Moore. The gallery exhibits her original paintings as well as other extensive collections including pottery, jewelry and also finest flavors unique to the prairies from many local artisans.

Cost of this event is $75.00 plus taxes. The price includes transportation to Moose Jaw, the admission to the tunnel’s tour, lunch at the Grant Hall Hotel and gratuity.This tour leaves the conference hotel, the Delta Hotel at 9:30 a.m. and will be departing Moose Jaw at 2:30 pm and arriving at the Delta Hotel at approximatley 3:30 pm. COMPANIONS EVENT #3 - Friday, May 29, 2015     

Shopping and Leisure day in the city

On this day, you are free to explore the downtown of Regina. 

We suggest starting at the Cornwall Center Shopping Mall located in the heart of downtown Regina and features over 95 stores. It is connected to the Delta Regina and Casino Regina. 

Just across the street from Cornwall Center, you will find Scarth Street Mall and Old City Hall Mall that feature several boutiques that offer unique selections in ladies fashion.

Take a short stroll (or taxi ride) to 2169 McIntyre Street and visit Hillberg and Berk (H&B) jewelry store featuring fabulous jewelry pieces by Regina based designer Rachel Mielke.  Many celebrities and women of influence such as Celine Dione, and Michelle Obama have been spotted wearing H&B jewelry. Recently, none other than Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has been photographed wearing a broach uniquely designed by H&B.  

If after all that shopping you still have some time to explore the city, we suggest several self-guided walking tours in the downtown area. Detail information will be provided in your delegates bags.
